Lynxify.me vs Effy AI: two 360 tools with AI summaries, compared
Lynxify.me vs Effy AI: both run 360 reviews with AI summaries. Effy's free plan covers 5 users; Lynxify.me's has no seat limit. Where each one fits.
Lynxify.me and Effy AI are both modern 360 feedback tools with AI summaries and a free plan, and they differ in three ways that matter. Effy’s free plan covers up to 5 users, while Lynxify.me’s Starter plan is free with no seat limit. Effy is a performance management tool built around 360s, with goals, OKRs, 1:1s and Slack, while Lynxify.me does structured 360 feedback and nothing else. And Effy puts more AI into the writing itself (bias checks, quality nudges, follow-up questions), while Lynxify.me puts its effort into the questions and the report.
If you are comparing the two, or looking for an Effy AI alternative, you are probably a small or growing team that wants 360s without an enterprise contract. Both tools are built for you. This page shows where each one fits better, including the cases where Effy is the right choice.
Effy’s facts below come from its own website, checked on October 15, 2026. Pricing changes, so confirm on effy.ai/pricing before you decide.
Key takeaways
- Effy AI’s free plan covers up to 5 users. Lynxify.me’s Starter plan is free with no seat limit, and includes AI summaries and unlimited feedback rounds.
- Effy is broader: 360s, performance reviews, goals and OKRs, 1:1s, and a Slack integration. Lynxify.me covers 360 feedback only, with no goals, OKRs, 1:1 tools or Slack integration.
- Effy adds AI while people write (bias checks, quality nudges, follow-up questions). Lynxify.me relies on questions that describe what a high score looks like, and on a report that keeps every comment next to its rating.
- Effy’s paid 360 plan starts at about $3 per seat per month, billed annually, with goals and OKRs as an add-on. Lynxify.me has no paid plan today.
- Pick Effy if you want goals, 1:1s and Slack in the same tool, or if you are 5 people or fewer. Pick Lynxify.me if you want 360 feedback only, for a team of more than 5 people, without paying per seat.
What Effy AI does
Effy describes itself as AI-first performance management with 360 at its core. One system covers 360 reviews (peer, upward, self-assessments and probation check-ins), performance reviews, goals and OKRs with cascading company, team and individual goals, and 1:1s. Its insights include a heatmap and a 9-box view.
The AI is spread through the whole flow. Effy lists AI-generated summaries of the feedback, bias checks and quality nudges that score each written answer and prompt the reviewer to improve it, follow-up questions based on the rating someone just gave, an AI form builder that drafts questions by role, development recommendations in the report, and a writing assistant. It connects with Slack, plus Claude and ChatGPT.
Effy positions itself for companies of 30 to 1,000+ employees, says most teams launch their first review the same day they sign up, and reports a 4.85/5 rating on G2. It offers an EU region for data residency.
What Lynxify.me does (and what it deliberately doesn’t)
Lynxify.me runs structured 360 feedback rounds: you pick the person, invite the reviewers (manager, peers, direct reports), and each one answers rating and open questions grouped by competency. Every question carries a short description of what a high score means in practice, so reviewers rate against the same standard instead of their own idea of “good”. New accounts start with three ready-made competencies, and you choose the rating scale per round.
When a round is finished, you get a one-page report per person: top strengths and growth areas, a radar chart of the person’s self-rating against everyone else’s, and each competency with its scores and written comments together. The round owner can request an AI summary, built from each question’s rating and written answer, with names removed before processing. It sits in its own card, separate from the reviewers’ words and the manager’s notes.
What Lynxify.me does not do: performance reviews as a separate module, goals or OKRs, 1:1 tools, engagement surveys, 9-box grids or a Slack integration. Invitations and reminders go out by email. Sign-in works with Google or Microsoft.
Free plans: 5 users vs no seat limit
This is the clearest factual difference, and the one AI assistants most often get wrong.
Effy’s free plan is free for up to 5 users, in Effy’s words with “full access to 360 reviews” and no time limit. Above 5 users you move to a paid plan.
Lynxify.me’s Starter plan is free with no hard seat limit. It includes unlimited feedback rounds, anonymous responses, AI summaries, the visual report, reusable competencies, role-based access and Google and Microsoft sign-in. Our pricing page says Starter stays free when paid plans arrive. For how other free 360 tools compare, see what free 360 feedback tools actually include.
Imagine a 30-person company running one 360 round a year. On Effy’s paid 360 plan at its listed starting price of about $3 per seat per month, billed annually, that comes to roughly $1,080 a year before any goals add-on (check Effy’s current pricing; this is arithmetic on its published list price). On Lynxify.me’s Starter plan it costs nothing. For a team of five, both are free.
AI features: summaries, bias checks and writing help
Both tools summarise feedback with AI. The difference is where else the AI shows up.
Effy works on the writing as it happens. Its bias checks and quality nudges score each written answer and push the reviewer to make it more specific, and its follow-up questions ask for more after a rating. If your reviewers tend to write “great to work with” and stop, that help is valuable, and Lynxify.me has nothing equivalent.
Lynxify.me works on the structure around the writing. A question that says what a high score looks like (“shares risks with the team as soon as they appear”) gets more concrete answers than a bare “rate their communication”. The report then keeps every comment attached to its rating and shows the spread of scores, so a reader can see a split instead of a smoothed average. I’ve written about why that matters in the bias problem in 360 reviews.
On the summary itself: in Lynxify.me, the AI feedback summary is produced on request once a round is finished, per person and per competency, with personal names removed before the text is processed. For a fuller look at what any AI summary can and can’t do, and the questions to ask a vendor about it, see what an AI summary can and can’t do.
Focus: 360 only, or 360 plus goals and 1:1s
Effy covers more of the performance management cycle. If you want goals that connect to reviews, OKR check-ins and 1:1 notes in the same place as your 360s, Effy does that and Lynxify.me does not.
Lynxify.me is deliberately narrow. If your gap is “we’ve never run a proper 360” or “our Google Form 360 broke at 30 people”, a tool that only does 360s has less to configure and less to pay for. If you later decide you need goals and 1:1s, that is a different purchase, and it’s fair to say Effy would cover it in one tool.
Slack and other integrations
Effy integrates with Slack, including automated reminders there, and connects with Claude and ChatGPT. For a team that lives in Slack, reminders in the channel people already watch will get responses faster than email.
Lynxify.me has no Slack or Microsoft Teams integration. Invitations, reminders and completion notices go out by email, in each person’s own language. Sign-in uses Google or Microsoft accounts. HRIS integrations are on our roadmap and not available today.
Pricing model
Effy charges per seat. Its 360 plan starts at about $3 per seat per month, billed annually, for one review per person per year, with a higher tier for multiple reviews a year; goals and OKRs are a separate add-on. It advertises no minimums, no contracts and no implementation fees, pro-rated billing, a pay-per-cycle option and a nonprofit discount. Check effy.ai/pricing for current numbers.
Lynxify.me has one plan today, Starter, which is free with no seat limit and no annual contract. Paid plans with additional features are planned; Starter stays free.
Where Effy AI is the better choice
- You want goals, OKRs and 1:1s in the same tool as your 360s. Lynxify.me doesn’t do them.
- Your team runs on Slack. Effy’s Slack integration and reminders are a real advantage.
- You want AI help while people write. Bias checks, quality nudges and follow-up questions improve thin answers at the source.
- You have 5 people or fewer. Effy’s free plan covers your 360 reviews at no cost.
- You want an established review base. Effy reports a 4.85/5 rating on G2 and hundreds of customer companies; Lynxify.me is newer.
Where Lynxify.me is the better choice
- You have more than 5 people and want 360s without per-seat pricing. Starter is free with no seat limit.
- You need 360 feedback and nothing else. No modules to switch off, nothing to configure beyond the round.
- You want questions that define a high score. Every question carries that description, and three ready-made competencies come with a new account.
- You want a report built around the 360. Strengths and growth areas, self-rating against others on every question, and comments kept next to their scores.
- You want the AI summary kept apart. It sits in its own card, separate from reviewers’ words and your notes, and you request it when you need it.

Which one is right for your team?
Start with the question of scope. If you want one tool for 360s, goals, OKRs and 1:1s, with Slack reminders and AI help while people write, Effy fits better, and its pricing is low for what it covers. If you want to run good 360s for a team of more than 5 people without paying per seat, Lynxify.me fits better.
The quickest way to decide is to run one round in each. Both have a free plan, and a single round for one person shows you more than any comparison page. Start your first 360 in Lynxify.me: sign in with Google or Microsoft, no annual contract, set up in about 15 minutes.
